sunday: grill and chill
- brett was going to grill bbq chicken kebabs, but work got crazy for him, so instead I'll freeze that chicken for another weekend, and make tomorrow's ritz cracker chicken instead (see "monday" for recipe)
(but in the end, bake it in my favorite lidded pyrex dish with ritz crackers on top, maybe? just because that sounds good?)
also, also. i omit the cornstarch, i sometimes omit the mustard depending on if i feel like walking to the pantry, and I use preshredded cheese.
- salad + ranch dressing
- i love my produce keeper and my salad dressing container

chicken ranch wraps - see instagram photo here
- use ritz cracker chicken (omit the italian seasoning for personal preference, and I use chicken tenders)
- use ranch dressing (recipe from sunday)
- warm tortillas, tomatoes, lettuce (offer diced red onion and bacon for brett, too)
- i love my produce keeper and my salad dressing container
tuesday:
salad + ranch dressing
- loaded broccoli cheese bacon soup
- (from freezer - frozen in these containers)
- omit bacon for personal preferences - only because I hate mushy bacon - oven cook bacon to sprinkle some on brett's? use leftover bacon on Wednesday or for BLTs for lunch?
- if I'm feeling lazy, I'll use preshredded carrots (like, the kind for salads)
- I used four small potatoes (maybe should have done five) and I used a little less broccoli (but we were low) - then we put the broccoli florets in the food processor and essentially riced them (which we ended up loving the teeny tiny pieces of broccoli, as I detest large broccoli chunks in my soup) - but because of these two things, my soup was not as chunky and thick as hers. still tasted amazing!
wednesday:
make a triple/quadruple batch of mom's oatmeal pancakes (or make into waffles?) (freeze leftovers)
+ leftover fruit
or, or
slow cooker chili (from freezer, frozen in these containers)
(I usually double the beans, and do all pinto, or half pinto and kidney, sometimes i use ground turkey and/or I halve the meat -- like this time, I did 2lbs ground turkey, 2 cans pinto, 2 cans kidney)(I omit the adobo chilies, and I double the green chiles)
add cheese + sour cream + fritos for frito pie
or eat with leftover cornbread?
thursday:

- frozen pizza, takeout pizza, homemade pizza, naan pizza, Costco pizza, whatever.

- also, on fridays I menu plan + order groceries. I try to post my step-by-step each week in my instagram stories if you want to see how I menu plan, but I have a highlight of me talking through my process in my "how I menu plan" highlight, if you prefer that.
- I also wrote a blogpost about how I menu plan.
- see this quick instagram post on my friday routines here.
- see this blogpost for a list of all our routines, if you'd love some ideas.
saturday: snack dinner saturday
- finger foods, apps, cheese + crackers, various produce*, roasted veggies, dips, frozen chicken nuggets, anything goes - as long as it feels like a break from cooking
- *I'm a relatively picky eater, so I use this time to try produce I haven't necessarily liked before + experiment with different ways to cook/eat said produce - serving a new food alongside, say, cheese and crackers makes it less threatening to me
- see my "snack dinner" highlight on my Instagram for more posts
- aaaand this article in favor of snack dinner (+ ideas)
- my favorite place to learn cheese plates is this instagram account or her book
- our wedding anniversary tradition is to subscribe to a cheese of the month club - a nod to our dating days and a way to celebrate all year
