- I love this article for inspiration
- make a batch of this oatmeal, if needed
- make a quadruple batch of oatmeal waffles for my snacks this week + the freezer
- I don't share my mom's oatmeal waffle recipe, but a google search produces similar ones!
- make snack boxes in divided glass containers like this:
- waffles + syrup + fruit
- see my "snack box" highlight on my instagram for this better explained + past boxes

spaghetti and meatballs (get sliders so brett can have meatball subs for lunch?)
big ol caesar salad or leftover roasted veggies
use the leftover garlic alfredo sauce in the freezer to eat over plain spaghetti noodles for me?
tuesday:
tamales + mashed avo
- our halloween tradition is to order tamales from this restaurant to be delivered to our door (they ship nationwide) - and we order extraaa to keep in the freezer as a quick dinner in the coming months (and to make the shipping costs worth it) - i wrote a whole instagram post on this here if you'd like to know more!
- see our other annual traditions here.
- I use my favorite avocado tool when dealing with avocados
wednesday:
frozen chicken tenders + honey mustard
roasted veggies + roasted potatoes
- roasted green beans
- roasted broccoli: coat in olive oil + garlic salt, 400 degree oven, upper rack, until crispy (clearly I wing this recipe, so you do you)
- roasted brussel sprouts (I kinda wing this recipe, so take these directions with a huge grain of salt)
- i buy shredded brussel sprouts from HEB or Trader Joe's (or! or! I'll buy whole brussel sprouts, slice off the stem thingy, and cut the brussel sprout in half so that it falls apart deliciously in layers on the cookie sheet), I toss them in olive oil and generously sprinkle with garlic salt. I cook in an oven at 400 degrees (move the rack to the top third of the oven) and I cook until browned and crispy (like 30ish minutes? I DON'T KNOW). Then I drizzle them with TJ's Balsamic Glaze and put back in the oven for 2-3 minutes. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

friday:
fajita friday or f it friday
bacon tomato sandwiches
chips? fruit? leftover roasted veggies?
- grab fajita family pack from chuy's
- orrrr eat leftovers, depending on fridge situation + our mood
- also, on fridays I menu plan + order groceries. I try to post my step-by-step each week in my instagram stories if you want to see how I menu plan, but I also wrote a blogpost about how I menu plan.
- see this quick instagram post on my friday routines here.
- see this blogpost for a list of all our routines, if you'd love some ideas.
saturday:
- snack dinner saturday
- see my "snack dinner" highlight on my Instagram for more
- finger foods, apps, cheese + crackers, various produce*, roasted veggies, dips, anything goes
- I'm a relatively picky eater, so I use this time to try produce I haven't necessarily liked before + experiment with different ways to cook/eat said produce - serving a new food alongside, say, cheese and crackers makes it less threatening to me
- peek at my "snack dinner" pinterest board where I find inspiration
- aaaand this article in favor of snack dinner (+ ideas)
- my favorite place to learn cheese plates is this instagram account or her book
- if our budget allows, we love renewing our Cheese of the Month membership to celebrate our wedding anniversary - we discovered this cheese shop while dating in college, so it's one of our favorite nostalgic things. It’s pricey, but perfect for an at-home date, and perfect for our weekly snack dinner.
